Research Interest
The research interest includes stereocontrolled syntheses of β-lactam antibiotics. Particularly using the [2+2]cycloaddition of isocyanates to vinyl ethers, 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of nitrones, and application of the copper catalyzed cycloaddition of nitrones to terminal acetylenes. The other projects involve also the synthesis of amino- and iminosugars from unsaturated sugar lactones and synthesis of glycosyl hydroperoxides and their use as epoxidation reagents
